Breast Cancer Foundation NZ

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ is a non-for-profit charitable trust. Our vision is zero deaths from breast cancer. People may still develop breast cancer, but eventually, it will become a chronic, manageable illness like HIV or diabetes.

BCFNZ was founded in 1994 by a group of New Zealand doctors. Since then, the Foundation has played a key role in many milestones in breast cancer awareness and treatment, through the funding of research and medical grants, education and patient support programmes and advocacy. Those milestones include raising mammogram screening rates among eligible women to more than 70%; reducing breast cancer deaths by 30%. We also support people with breast cancer around the country.

Medical Advisory Committee

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ is governed, and guided by, two professional bodies, The Board of Trustees and the Medical Advisory Committee. Members are all leaders in their respective fields.
